Uplifting the Quality of the Elderly People Program

Since 1990, the purpose of reducing poverty through employment generation, PKSF has organized a comprehensive program to give financial and technical support to the poor people as well as to increase the capabilities of the micro-finance institutions of the country. All activities of PKSF are for improving the human development and human ability of the people. In this context, PKSF is implementing a new program called Uplifting the Quality of the Lives of the Elderly People Program as part of a multi-dimensional program for poverty alleviation. Although 65 year olds in industrialized countries are considered as senior, internationally recognized and according to the UN declaration, 60 years of age and older will be recognized as senior citizens, in this regard, the National Old Policy The life-saving development program of the Ossa senior population started from August 1, 2017 in Sahapur Union of Ishwardi upazila.
